This is a bamboo tapered French style rolling pin. Perfectly balanced for that delicate touch. Tapered pins push dough out rather than flattening. Classic style and durable; pin measures 20.5". Not dishwasher safe; hand wash with mild detergent. Complies with Prop 65. 20 1/4" L x 1 3/4" D

Bamboo grows fast, needs no replanting and little irrigation. The caveats are worth knowing: boards and utensils are strips glued together, so the adhesive is not bamboo, and bamboo fibre textiles are chemically processed viscose. Most of it ships from Asia, so freight offsets part of the gain.
