The materials below help; ordering fewer and better items helps considerably more, and it is worth saying that before recommending anything.
Where a physical item does belong, the ones with the highest survival rate outdoors are recycled-fabric umbrellas, recycled polyester sports and picnic gear, and anything that solves a real problem at the event itself. Weather protection gets kept; a branded novelty does not.
