The Scottsboro 42" Recycled Folding Umbrella features an 8-panel, 42-inch arc canopy made from recycled polyester (RPET) for an eco-friendly design. Built to weather the storm, this manual open umbrella has a durable double-coated black metal frame and fiberglass rib ends for enhanced wind resistance, and a 38-inch diameter. The Scottsboro also has an easy-to-grip handle with wrist strap that provides comfortable carrying, and its matching sleeve allows for neat storage. Material claim

rPET is polyester spun from post-consumer plastic bottles. It keeps bottles out of landfill and takes roughly half the energy of virgin polyester, but it is still plastic: it sheds microfibres in the wash and is not biodegradable. Ask for the recycled percentage, because "contains recycled content" can mean anything from 5% to 100%.
