The Split Recycled 5oz Cotton Twill Convention Tote is manufactured from cotton and recycled pre-consumer recycled cotton generated by factories during the fabric cutting process. It is approximately 70%-80% recycled cotton and 20-30% RPET. This tote features a trendy color-block design with an open main compartment. rPET is polyester spun from post-consumer plastic bottles. It keeps bottles out of landfill and takes roughly half the energy of virgin polyester, but it is still plastic: it sheds microfibres in the wash and is not biodegradable. Ask for the recycled percentage, because "contains recycled content" can mean anything from 5% to 100%.
