It is worth having and it is worth being clear-eyed about: an offset compensates for an impact rather than avoiding it, and offset quality varies enormously between programmes.
The questions that separate a serious claim from a badge: what is inside the boundary — manufacturing, shipping, or only the last leg of delivery? Who verified the calculation?
