Material claim
- Wheat Straw
- Biodegradable & Compostable
Wheat straw here means plastic with wheat-straw fibre mixed in, typically 30% or so. It uses less virgin plastic and gives a distinct matte look. It is not compostable and not biodegradable, whatever the marketing around it suggests -- it is a reduced-plastic product, and that is a smaller but real claim.
Claims are taken from supplier product data. Certified items (GRS, FSC) can supply certificate references with a quote; uncertified claims are the supplier's own statement.
